Breaking Through The Ceiling Part 1

Jacob was born with limits but he managed to override them. He lived unlimited.
Genesis 25:27-34

Take the opportunity
If you want to take the limits off your life you have to take the opportunity.
Jacob had made stew. No croc en Busch. No eight course degustation meal. Jacob was no Masterchef.

Who would trade birthright for stew? Esau did. Jacob saw the opportunity and he took it.

When someone at work asks you to take on more, do it.
When the extra shift is available, take it.
When an opportunity to serve presents itself, do it.
An opportunity to give, do it.
An opportunity to spend time, do it.
When an idea pops in your head, do it.

Genesis 27:1-29

You are not an island

To take limits off you have to recognise you cannot do it alone.

To get the blessing, Jacob needed help.

To walk in the fullness of all God has for you, you cannot do it alone. You need Rebekah.

We need each other. Last year we talked about the power of together. I love Compassion partnership because we will all sponsor children as individual families, but we are doing it together.

If you want unlimited blessing we have to do this together. We have different gifts. I need you.

All in

Matthew 13:44-46 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

If you want unlimited blessing, you have to be all in.

Jacob had to completely disguise himself as Esau. He did not do this by halves. He wore goat skin all over. He wore Esau’s clothes. His voice was probably similar enough for Isaac not to worry too much.

If his neck wasn’t covered. If his hands were left uncovered. If his clothes did not smell like Esau, no blessing. Jacob had to be all-in. The kingdom of heaven is all in.

The kingdom of heaven is all in. Life with Jesus isn’t done in halves.

Walk the journey and you will get hurt. Kingdom is all-in. Jacob had his fair share of hurt – brother going to kill him, Laban deceived him, Joseph separated and presumed dead.

Unlimited blessing is unlocked when you are all-in.

We are going up and out. Visualise your life bursting through the ceiling. Visualise your children breaking through the ceiling. Visualise the church breaking through the ceiling.

Now, when opportunity comes, press the button.

When someone wants to help, accept it.

Throw yourself all in. No more holding back. All in. Whatever it is, be all in.
