Enjoy Life. Are you enjoying life?

Jesus went to His fair share of banquets. Jesus went to lots of banquets.

John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

1 Timothy 6:17 Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

God is a giver. He loves to give you gifts.

1 Peter 1:8 Although you haven’t seen Jesus, you still love Him. Although you don’t yet see Him, you do believe in Him and celebrate with a joy that is glorious and beyond words.

Jerry Saville said Joy is an incredible force.

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

According to the Huffington Post, people who enjoy life live longer.

Luke 19:1-10 demonstrates how to live a joyful life.

Encounter grace.
Zacchaeus encountered grace.
Grace does not look at how bad you are, but how perfect Jesus is.
There are a lot of religious people who don’t attend church. They haven’t met Grace – Jesus.
If we are to live a life of joy, see His grace.
Max Lucado – grace is God as a heart surgeon, cracks open the chest and replaces your heart with His own.

Have a generous spirit.
Zacchaeus gave away four-times his wealth.
Are you generous with your heart?

2 Corinthians 9:7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
When you take joy away you become stingy.

It might be time to climb a tree.
Zacchaeus had to get a new perspective.
Zacchaeus was surrounded by those who hated him. He needed to see something new.
If you aren’t enjoying life, change the focus. Change perspective.
Take another look.

Get your house in order.
Zacchaeus had to get his house in order to receive Jesus.
If God is calling you to ministry, get your house ready by going to Bible College. Or perhaps get fitter. Get rid of bad habits.
Life will be so much better when you walk in the calling God has on our lives. So get your house ready.

Luke 15:7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

There is joy going on in heaven.
