Flourishing in the House of God

Psalm 92:12-14 But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.

Didn’t know who he was

Mephibosheth was living in Lodebar. Lo means nothing and debar means flourishing in the Holy of holies. So Lodebar is not flourishing. Lodebar is wilderness.

Mephibosheth did not know his inheritance. He did not realise he was the descendant of a king. He was bound by fear.

Do you know who you are in Christ?

Shame off you

Mephibosheth carried so much shame. But his name means exterminator of shame.

Father is exterminating your season of shame. You are being restored. Shame will be replaced with joy and peace.

Psalm 132:18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but he will be a glorious king.

The enemy’s clothes are clothes of shame. Get rid of the clothes of shame and put on the clothes of king Jesus.

2 Samuel 9:11 And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David’s table, like one of the king’s own sons.

Mephibosheth ate from the king’s table.

It’s time to get rid of the limp and lameness.

The table is communion but also coming around your family table. Talking with one another and loving one another. It is a time of healing. We minister to our family around the table.
