Heart & Truth

God cares, loves. He has a big heart.

God is also truth.

Our Creator God says truth. God decided what truth is.

See God's heart. Behind truth is heart. God's heart is for you and to prosper you.

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Adam and Eve were given choice and authority.

Genesis 1:27-28 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Genesis 2:16-17 But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Our choice messed it up.

Genesis 6:5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

God's heart was broken

Genesis 6:6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.

God makes covenant with mankind to resetablish connection with His creation. Through out the Old Testament the people keep wandering from covenant.

God wants to partner with people to extend blessing to them. The Old Testament shows us we cannot get it right.

We access the new covenant through Jesus. He was the perfect man, and took our place in the covenant.

God loves. He always loved.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.

In Christ:
No condemnation
Freed from the power of sin
Never separated from His love
Justification
Child of God
Blessed with every spiritual blessing

Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

We are salt – we preserve God's way of doing things.

Matthew 19:4-6 “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”

This is Jesus' marriage policy. He knows what is best. It is how you are designed.

We want to also uphold God's best.
