Leading Well

Everyone has the capacity to be a leader.

Ephesians 4:1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

What is your calling? Are you living worthy of the calling?

Ephesians 4:2-3 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

There is nothing like a humble leader.

Ephesians 4:8 That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights,he led a crowd of captivesand gave gifts to his people.”

God has given you a gift and it needs to get out.

Ephesians 4:12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

If you are one of God’s people you have a ministry. Your ministry may be ministering to your kids, your neighbour, your workplace.
You are not influenced but an influencer.
You have a gift. You are anointed. But am I really leadership material??
David was anointed when he was working with what was in his hand in the field. He was chosen when he already had purpose.
The blessing is on us to be the head not the tail – this is leadership.
You need to lead in a certain situation. God is asking you to step up and lead.

Matthew 20:26-27 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.

How can I serve you? How can I serve you well?
