Power of the Tongue

Ephesians 4:29 Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace God’s favor to those who hear it.

James 3 tells us no one can tame the tongue. It is impossible! Yet all things are possible to those who believe.

Philippians 4:8-9 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Often what we think comes out of our mouths. Think on good things then truth, honour, right and pure things will come from the mouth.

Pure, praiseworthy speech
Paul spoke the promises of God. Speak the promises. We don’t do any good speaking our own word. The Word of God will change people’s lives. Prophesy life.

Practice
Practise speaking good things.

Peace
The God of peace will be with you. When you speak badly, you wear it for a while. As you speak good things, peace comes.
