Pursue God and all He has for us. Pursue the call of God on our lives and chase it down.

Pursue speaks of future, destiny, potential.

We have all pursued something – career, love.

Start pursuing incorruptible things. When we pursued the gifts God has placed on our life it has kingdom impact.

The church’s pursuit will not stop – we will continue to pursue souls. We will continue to reach out to see souls saved.

There are two types of Christians – fans: fans love winners and winning; but when things get tough…
Then there are followers: followers keep turning up, cheering on others, committed.

Joyce Meyer: It is impossible to be selfish and happy.

We are a generous church. There is more joy in giving than receiving.

Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death

I want to pursue Christ and His resurrection power.

I want to pursue Jesus and His power in my life every day.

2 Kings 2:1-12 Elisha’s pursuit of Eligah’s anointing

Gilgal – a place of beginning, covenant. You are in covenant with Jesus. A place of separation unto God.

Bethel – the House of God. In your pursuit the house of God is pivotal. Talk about your church that it is awesome!

Jericho – a place of stepping out on faith. Use your faith. Step out in faith. Release your faith.

Jordan – stepping into the Promise Land. You will never step into the Promise Land unless you take one step today. The devil doesn’t want you to take the next step. He will distract you from taking the next step.

Your pursuit will take you toward God, it will not take you further away.

Is what you are pursuing now taking you closer to God, or is it driving you away?

This is the pursuit of Generation Church:

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord, the Eternal, is on me. The Lord has appointed me for a special purpose. He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to repair broken hearts, And to declare to those who are held captive and bound in prison, “Be free from your imprisonment!”
