Staging Your Celebration

Pslams 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.

Take time to rejoice in today and celebrate each day. As human beings we tend to work, stretch, push, and forget to celebrate. Continual stretching breaks unless you take time to celebrate.

Some of the great coaches who always push for more and more from their team, eventually break, eventually get disheartened unless they stop to celebrate.

Nehemiah wanted to finish rebuilding the city, but he took time to celebrate when they rebuilt the wall.

Nehemiah 8:10 And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before the Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Taking time to celebrate today “the joy of today” is going to strengthen you to keep going to build the city.

God building something in your life

Don’t worry about those who oppose you, what you’re doing, what your standing for. Don’t wait to celebrate when it is finished. The day to celebrate is today. Your day of celebration is giving you strength for the next phase in your journey.  It’s not a time to quit.  Today is the day to celebrate.

A big part of your strengthening for the next part of the building is found in this verse “share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared”. Take time to celebrate other people and the journey they are on. You will be strengthened for it.
