The Language of Grace pt 2

Mark 9:7 Just then a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and from deep in the cloud, a voice: “This is my Son, marked by my love. Listen to him.”

In the language of grace, listen to Jesus. Don’t listen to judgement. Don’t listen to the law. Listen to Jesus. Listen to grace.

John 6:68 Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.

Do I go back to the law? No, only Jesus has words that give life.
The language of grace brings rest.
Rest in how much Father loves you.

Luke 10:27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

This is a summary of the Ten Commandments.

1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.

It is not about loving your neighbour as you love yourself, but believing and loving as Jesus loves me.

John 20:31 But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

Eternal life is through believing in Jesus, not though doing the Ten Commandments.
